Day 8: Taipei Zoo

Martina, Madam Liu and I took the MRT to Taipei Zoo, it was a long journey to the last station of wenhu line. When we reached the zoo, the other EPs and Henry are already waiting at the entrance. I learnt a few sentences of Spanish from Martina in the MRT and when I saw Vitzy, I told her "Hola, que tal? Eres guapa." Haha~ that's all I know.

I don't remember when was the last time I visited the national zoo in my country, it was long time ago, when I was still a little kid.

Some beautiful Flamingos in the zoo.
The place where the Flamingos lay their eggs.
Trees are everywhere in the zoo to create the best habitat for the animals, so that they are closer to the nature and feel more like their natural home.
Here's the cute panda from Sichuan, China. Pandas usually sleep 10-12 hours, luckily they had waken up when we visited them . But they looked lazy, they moved very slowly and looked sleepy.

This panda shop is full of stuffed pandas in different sizes, panda key chains, panda cups, panda towels, panda caps, panda photo frames, panda candies, and many other things with panda on it.

Panda feces!!! It is very important to determine the health condition of the pandas.

After leaving the Panda House, we visited the Nocturnal House. The house was very dark, with dim lights, and camera flash was not allowed. These animals stay in the dark by nature and only active during the night.

Noctunal mouse.

My lab mouse is also in the zoo.

Scary-looking owl.

I found this in the toilet haha~ Gain some knowledge even when you're using the toilet, it is inside every toilet.

Animal poo has many benefits and it's important for the balance of ecosystem.

A beautiful elephant-trimed plant.

The Penguin House. There are a lot of cute and smart penguins inside the glass freezer, they looked like wearing the tuxedo.

Some information about penguins.

I bought a penguin coin from this machine. The coin was too big to fit into the box.
First time trying Taiwanese instant noodle. The beef noodles come with real meat, but my sesame oil chicken noodle didn't contain chicken meat. It tastes and smells really good.

It suddenly rained after our lunch. Each of us had our own umbrella, but Vitzy had a special one, a mushroom umbrella.

Although it was raining, we tried to visit every part of the zoo as fast as possible before it closed at 4pm. It was difficult to take pictures of the animals in the rain.
Malaysia endangered species, the hornbill, anteater, and orang utan are also in the Taipei Zoo!

We took the cable car up to Maokong Gondola.

There are two temples at the top of the hill. We reached Zhi Nan Gong first, and then to the next temple, San Xuan Temple.

After we went back home, Cindy told us that couples should not visit the temples together because according to the legand, the Goddess was separated with her lover, thus the Taiwanese believe that couples will split up if they visit the temples together.
